Olympic Tickets can be quite pricey and not everyone can get their hands on these tickets. However, this shouldn’t spoil the fun of living in the host city. There are many festivities going on around town during the games that won’t cost you a cent.

ROBSON SQUARE/GE PLAZA
Go for a skate
The GE Plaza at Robson Square will be open for free public skating from 9 am to 9 pm every day. Skate rentals are $3 and include helmets for those 12 and under.

Zip across Robson Street for FREE. Literally
Zip over 170 metres (550') high above crowds (six stories up) across Robson Street. Open Every day during the Olympics, daily between Feb 12 - 28 from 10am to 9pm.

The City of Vancouver is hosting two amazing and distinct outdoor celebration sites (LiveCity Yaletown and LiveCity Downtown) during the 2010 Games.
LiveCity Yaletown is sure to be quite the entertainment hot spot with featured performers such as Jully Black, Keshia Chante, Marianas Trench, Deadmau5, Alexisonfire, In Flight Safety, Colin James and the Dal Richards Band. There will also be a nightly closing show for the whole family to wind down the day.
LiveCity Downtown will be featuring different Olympic events on large television screens, making it possible to catch the action of the games with friends and family without having to a buy a ticket.
VANCOUVER ART GALLERY– Free Admission during the 2010 Olympic Games from Feb 12-28, 2010.
The Vancouver Art Gallery will host the BC Canada Pavilion on the fourth floor of the Vancouver Art Gallery. Admission to the Art Gallery and Pavilion will be free during the 2010 Olympic Games from February 12 through February 28, 2010. Regular Adult admission is $19.50 so don't miss this opportunity.

FREE VANCOUVER STREET CAR SERVICE between the Canada Line Olympic Village Station (Cambie Street and West 2nd Avenue) to Granville Island

Transit trips on the Olympic Line are FREE. Operating hours: 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. daily (18 hours a day).
Granville Island will be the home of the Coca-Cola Happiness House, Swiss House, Atlantic Canada House and Place de la Francophonie 2010.
O-ZONE RICHMOND
From February 12 to 28, the O Zone in Richmond will feature exciting, accessible and free entertainment for all during the games. Just minutes from the new Canada Line Brighouse Station, the O-zone will feature the BCLC Interactive Winter Games Dome, Holland Heineken House and great musical performance from bands such as Our Lady Peace.
